Day 14 Breath for 4
On my break from work so have started teh relaxation tape. I listening yesterday morning and again this morning. I also had a great session in the gym between ferrying my son around to hockey and again back tot he gym. Treated my self to having my ears repierced. Ihad them done 32 yeasr ago but let them heal over about 18 years ago as I was allergic to many of the metals. PLan to walk today after stocking up the fridge for my weeks break with healthy options for meals. Ihave bought 3 books by Val McDermid to read so I feel like I am lying on a beach. Must ensure the tele is off as I think it has become a background to my life. The gym was great with no TV ot music onthe bikenor x trainer so I could shut the duck up and focu on my breathing.
DAy 9
Trousers much looser today. Yippee. Still a long way to go but it is moving. Need to get doing more exercise as makes me happier so eat less so double benefit. 2 days to go to 10 days off!! Got to do it.
day 8
I need to get into a routine again. Doing the journal hit the rocks once I picked up my daughter from Uni and had her issues to handle. Pete - I now remember what you said last week and I need to make some me time. Had planned not to do the class tonight but will be there next week. I did a great session in the gym yesterday so hope to build on that over the next days as I have next week off so I can get some better habits going. Have ordered some books to read so rather than eating/drinking in front of the TV if my hands and eyes are busy ready I will be distracted but at the same time rewarding myself.
The background for the scientist seems to have changed or am I getting dementia and forgetting things already!!!
I know the program works but need toget refocused. Smaller portions today. No high carbs at breakfast ( smoothie) or lunch9 chicken stirfry- loads of veg and no noodles as I overdosed on tiger bread yesterday. What is it about a fresh loaf? Tonight my son (14 made gochhi( can't spell) with chilli tomato sauce. It was very tasty so had seconds and feel a bit pigged out now. a pint of water may help to cleanse me!!!
Day 3/4 Eatin slowly
Did as well as I could yeasterday and had a massive salad last night. Eat slowly and felt very full. I will be eating slowly as I think this is one of the key factors in my weight gain. Pete I will also breathe!!!
Sorry won't be able to get to Clair Hall tonight but hope it goes as well as last years event.
Day 2
More conscious of what I am eating today. Feeling I can do it but need to get calm to focus on myself. have a week off from next Friday so plan to change my routine for 10days until the start of the next 21 days. HAd too much coffe today due to habit of joining visitors. Must break this. May move to tea first as I cut ndown although Tea is a comforter for me. Any ideas on something else I can do to keep me warm and comforted- Unfortunately no man at the moment .
2010 Day 1
Have decided to restart again and take control of my life. So while having Eastenders in the background I have watched Pete on day 1. I need to shut the duck up and switch off Eastenders.
Have doen an hour or so in the class at the triangle. Still hard to get there ont ime as 50+miles to drive and everyone seems to want to leave Guildford at 5pm!
Food good so far today. Left food on my plate today at lunch- a long time since that happened. Bacon and Tom Omlette at 9.30, lunch at 1 left a bit on the plate. Had a diet coke so not so good need to cut down on the stimulants. Water could be better but willhave 750ml now before bed. Dinner is going to be a soup and a crumpet ( have to be finished so decided as less cals than a slice of Bread will be OK toasted as though it is a large crouton.
Goal is to loose inches from more than 10 inches from waist in time for Brothers Wedding in August 6 months today.
Will try top blog daily even if only a quickie in the evenings.
Day 1 again but with regular exercise
Starting again as I now do the weekly class at t he triangle. However had Flu jab today so going to bed and will go for a walk int he morning instead. Goal is to get wasit down to 32inches by mid Sept 2010. LAready dwon a couple of inches after 3 weeks of regular exercise. Must restart the relaxation tape as well.
Start of day 2
Day 1 went well with the water. Also did an exercise class with the mid Sussex team so got my exercise. Eat slowly but could do better at this. So today I am going to eat slowly, water and do the R&R as this helped in the past as stress is a big trigger for me to eat.
Starting again
THe most stressfull things are reducing now so I need to get focused again.

Goal is to reduce my waist size to 32 by next Sept so lets gets the first 6 off now intghe first 6 weeks.
I also need to Breathe. IN for 1 and out for 3. I need mroe oxygen to help my body to work at it's best.
fRIDAY NIGHT DRINK GOT ME AGAIN
I forgot to get myself organised to do something to distract me from the alcohol last night so feeling it this morning. Also need to forget the wheat as I am feeling bloated again. Well today is another day and I need to get motivated to go to the gym this pm after IKEA!!! Getting my son new bedroom furniture as his bog sis leaves home 4 weeks today and I want him to feel he is as important as her as at the moment she is trying to get all the attention.
So I think I need to cut down the stimulants while doing hte water focus this next week so I can become exceptional.
Feeling better already
Just a short note today. I feel alot healthier alreay as slowing down has helped me keep to a smaller portion and I have made better choices and drunk more water.
WLA Day 1
I need to relax into this as stress is a big trigger. I need to sort out my visualisation to help me get to my goal. I can do it. I need to blog regulary to see how I feel over time. At the moment quite low. Next few weeks will be a big challenge as we are going through some difficult times at work as we move work form here to Poland. It has been coming for several years but now it is here. I will focus on eating slowly.
Seem to have been away too long
I seem to have failed at the summer challenge so roll on the new challenge. I came off the HRT and seem to have major changes to my body. Starting at the gym while doing PC my BP had gone up so am now on more BP tablets. So I need to get re motivated. Plan to start officially on Monday. If anyone who goes to the Dolphin can confirm when we are due to get together again I will aim to get there as it's great to see everyone. Well done to Annie on becoming member of the month. I have gone back onthe caffeine at work as it is part of the social side. Need to change this.
DAy 3 Summer here we come
DAy 2 went better than day 1 with no wobbles. I have decided togo for the 30 mins walking and eating slowly as well as listing to the mp3. So time management is tricky again. DId the mp3 and walking before work but meant I left later and yesterday this was a disaster as I sat on the M25 for a couple of hours. If I had left at my normal time I might have been in the accident so thankful that I only lost a couple of extra hours. It made me realise that spending the extra hour is important but maybe next week I will do the walk with the birds and the mp3 with the night larks to balance it out.
So I missed breakfast as I was vv late to work. HAd 2 apples in the car to keep me going and then for lunch I had lasagne and salad which was needed due tot he lack of breakfast. Dinner was spread out with a chicken and avocado wholemeal sandwich at 6 and then a large smotthie at 8. I notice I am eating slowly when I take longer to finish lunch than the rest of the table. I always used to be first even if I had the largest portion.
The walking is great on sunny mornings but not sure if I want to go and get muddy and wet in the winter. I will have to work harder at the gym. Two days off so may go tot he gym rather than walk. I am going to a wedding and a silver wedding on Saturday and still in 2 minds as to whether to drive or not.
Must get to the gym Thursday and Friday as won't get there on Sat/Sun. Sunday is the London to Brighton bike ride and I have promised to support the 8 riders from work as they are coming over from the Guildford area and I live just before Ditchling and the infamous beacon that they have to go up to head down to Brighton. Are any of you doing the ride this year? I can bearly ride 1 mile let alone 50!!

Day 1 Six Week Summer Group
Well I've got off to a great start, MPS, 30 minutes walk, smoothie and then today svideo. Am late for work but decided I should have some me time this week to get me set up.
Goal is to lose a stone in the 6 weeks and to rehabit my good habits as the walking dropped off as soon as I joined the gym!!
Good luck to one and all and remember one day at a time.
Enjoy and I will try to catch up this evening with how everyone is doing.
