I am enjoying feeling the burn :) !!!!


Had a fantastic weekend, didnt do anything special but every minute is special because i feel sooooo gooood!!! I had forgotten how good exercise makes you feel, years and years ago i was a runner and also done at least hours exercise video every day... that wasnt healthy either as it was an obsession too , and I was living on cottage cheese and laxatives, so although i was very slim i was very unwell too
Doing these brisk walking exercises has woken up the amazing 'feel good' endorphines within me, and although my legs, and hips are aching today, I am still marching forward, I have done 10 mins so far, in 5 min intervals and by the end of the day I will have have done my 30 mins... that is the only tooli have never achieved and NOW I HAVE !!!
I read this today and tought it so appropriate and would like to share it -

Start by doing whats necessary..... then do whats possible... suddenly your doing the impossible !!

Ash I used to run 5 miles a day, as I said it was an obsession as i would come home and do an hour exercise video as well. I was in my late 20s early 30s and was under 8 stone, not a healthy happy 8st, I was with my controlling bullying ex who used to weigh me every day and he would ride a bike alongside me to make sure I ran the distance!!! My son was 10 and i used to be able to wear his jackets so NOT a great look , and i was in a very dark place too then so I wouldnt swap who I am today for that time then for ANYTHING.... looking back godness only knows where i had the energy to run like that and exercise like i did? after we split, when i was 34 i got to a very healthy size 12 and 10stone and didnt do the running as that always reminded me of him bullying me, but i carried on doing the exercise videos daily , and loved it.... then i discovered alcohol actually helped with the emotional pain.........then of course so did the food... and another 20 years down the road I found Pete .............
